Happy New Year

A frozen & misty Snowdonia (Eryri).

Ready for winter?

So far the new year has brought nothing but wind and very heavy rain here in the UK. Neither are ideal for landscape photography.

As I write this there seems to be a change in the air… literally.

We are about to enter in to a cold spell. Frosty landscapes? The possibility of snow and Ice? Well here’s hoping so! It should offer infinitely more shooting possibilities than the drab, wet, grey mush we have endured for the last few weeks.

I’ve got a week in Snowdoina, North Wales and another in Glencoe, Scotland booked in the next couple of months. The potential of these locations should reap some rewards.

So happy new year and lets hope some great compositions and conditions can be found as winter progresses.
